Free Nail Polish Remover

Grab yourself a sample of EDEN natural nail polish remover from Fresh Therapies by visiting the website here (only available in the UK)

I've just ordered my sample, will be nice to try a nail polish remover made from natural ingredients. The website says
"The lime-scented, clear formula is formulated with biodegradable food grade and plant-based ingredients that are non toxic and non-carcinogenic, making it safe for children, pregnant women and those undergoing treatment for illness. It is also suitable for vegans and has not been tested on animals"
Looking forward to trying it out so hope it arrives soon.

If you have tried this product, let me know what you thought of it...

Valentines Nails

This was my valentines look..only one day late!!!

Hope everyone was showered with lots of love...me and my boyfriend had a simple night out without any exchanges of commercially produced gifts or cards. I feel that as I've aged (Im only 25) I've gone off receiving the usual teddy bear/chocolates, all that stuff really makes me cringe.

So whatever you all did, whether your single or in a relationship hope you had a fantastic day!!!

Back to the nails I wanted to keep it simple, and I haven't mastered the hang of doing freehand hearts yet.

What I used
  • Models Own - Snow White
  • Max Factor - Red Passion
  • Kiss Nail Art Paint - White
  • Sally Hansen - Mega Shine extended wear top coat
This was so simple, I used two coats of Models Own, taking care to keep it neat near the cuticles, then I applied two coats of the red. For the heart, which looks like a white blob I used the kiss nail art paint which I picked up from Superdrug a few months ago. The kit came with stencils which you place over the nail, I do find them tricky to use. I then finished off with top coat.

Note to self: I should learn to paint hearts...

Review - Deborah Lippmann, The Stripper To Go

This little treat came in the Decembers Glossybox and I completely forgot I had it so I decided it to give it a go.

Pros

  • The mitt was really moist, removed nail varnish from all 10 nails
  • Slight lavender scent
  • Contains Aloe Vera, this left my nails shiny and smooth
  • Small enough to carry in your handbag
Cons
  • Expensive
  • Don't think one mitt will work for glitter varnish
Overall I did like the mitt but the thing that puts me off is the price. You can buy them exclusively at House of Fraser for £14 for six mitts, that works out to be £2.33 each!!! Personally I think this is something I don't really need, I like the concept but would rather find a cheaper alternative.

Blue & White Polka Dot Nails

What I used to create this look:

  • Rimmel - 500 Peppermint
  • Rimmel - Nail Tip Whitener
  • Sally Hansen - Mega Shine extended wear topcoat
  • One hair grip
I started off by applying two coats of the Rimmel (Peppermint), I found that it streaks slightly so I applied thick coats to make it look even. To create the dots I used the end of a hair grip with the Rimmel tip whitener. I then finished it off with the top coat. The top coat I used smudged the dots into my base coat (you have to look really really close to notice). Think I should go on the hunt for a new white nail polish so that I can try this look in baby pink???
